  5. The instructions below apply to Windows 3.1 FINAL BETA 061d as supplied on
  6. 5 1/4" HD diskette media.

  9. INSTRUCTIONS - WINDOWS 3.1 DRIVER INSTALLATION
  10.  
  11. On the ET3000 Windows Driver diskette,
  12.  
  13.     RENAME the file OEMSETUP.W31 to OEMSETUP.INF
  14.  
  15. Run the Windows Setup program and choose "Other (Requires disk provided by
  16. hardware manufacturer)" for the Display selection. When requested by the Setup
  17. program insert the ET3000 Windows Driver diskette. Follow the instructions
  18. provided by the Setup program.
  19.  
  20. As you use the Windows Setup program, Windows may prompt you for some of the
  21. Windows Installation diskettes. The ET3000 drivers use display fonts which are
  22. contained on the standard Windows distribution diskettes.
  23.  
  24. The enclosed drivers are generic and should work with most ET3000 based boards.
  25. The drivers have various display memory requirements and of course your display
  26. monitor must be able to support the resolution you select.

  44. It is important that the drivers be installed properly, replacement
  45. grabbers (GR2 extension) and Virtual-Display-Device handler (386 extension) are
  46. included to properly support the extended feature set of the ET3000 VGA chip.
